Steve McManaman has suggested a possible new injury blow for Leeds United after their Premier League clash against Spurs.

Tyler Roberts was replaced by Raphinha in the second half in what seemed a tactical switch, but the Welsh international was spotted with an ice pack in the stands.

The BT Sport pundit claimed that the attacker could have been struggling in the heavy conditions after his influential role in the opening 45 minutes.

Speaking during live BT Sports commentary, McManaman kept his eyes on Roberts after he was taken off early in the second half.

"He's getting some ice so maybe he was struggling a little bit," he worryingly said.

Unfortunate.

Just as Roberts was starting to nail down and cement his spot in the starting XI, it could be taken away from him due to an injury.

We're hoping that it was just precautionary and to help start the recovery process for his muscles already after yet another lung-busting runout.

In the worst-case scenario, the Whites had Raphinha and Rodrigo back on the bench and that should easily be enough to cover any possible absence moving forward.

Roberts has really started to prove his worth recently, and although the final product is still missing, his influence has certainly grown.

With another week until our trip to Burnley, Roberts should have more than enough time to get his body ready for the clash at Turf Moor and keep his spot in the side.
