Leeds United midfielder Ethan Ampadu is unlikely to return to full first-team training in November due to his knee injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that his setback is a significant one and he'll gradually be eased into full training after he returns to individual training.

Daniel Farke recently stated that he hopes to have the Wales international back before the end of the year. [LeedsLive]

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Ampadu: "He has been ruled out with a significant knee injury and that’s been keeping him out.

"The manager hopes for a December return.

"If the timeline holds, I would expect him to start individual training at the start of December and then gradually return to first team training based on his response.

"He’s expected to be out of first-team training in November as well."

Ethan Ampadu is a huge miss for Leeds United

The Welshman has been a crucial part of the Leeds setup ever since he secured a permanent transfer from Chelsea.

He has led by example and filled in at centre-back and central midfield and been among the most consistent players for the Whites.

Farke will undoubtedly want him back as soon as possible but it's important to not rush him back as it can increase the risk of re-injury.
