Leeds United youngster Marley Wilson is unlikely to return until the end of the season, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that given his age, it appears to be a stress fracture in the back which will see him missing training for up to three months.

LUFC Youth reported that the 18-year-old will be sidelined for a number of months without putting a definitive timeline.

"Wilson unfortunately has suffered a significant back injury that will keep him out of action for a while.

"Considering Wilson’s age, my educated guess based on prevalence would be a stress fracture in the back which is relatively common in younger footballers.

"Surgery typically isn’t required and it can take two to three months to return to training.

"Highly unlikely he's back in full training let alone available for selection before the end of the season."

Wilson's injury a big miss for the Leeds United under-18s side

In the under-18s league this season, Wilson has been a standout performer and the Leeds youngsters will be missing his services.

He has scored seven goals in eight games, playing all across the front three, according to Transfermarkt.

The club will be hopeful that he does not have any complications with his rehabilitation and he's available at the start of next season and perhaps even pre-season training.
