Leeds United defender Max Wober is expected to be out of training until mid-November after having surgery on his injured meniscus, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that initially, the Austria international appeared close to returning from his knee setback.

However, the issue got aggravated with Daniel Farke stating that he's expected to be out of action for the next six weeks. [Yorkshire Evening Post, 30 September]

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Wober: "My initial reading into the situation was that they were bringing him along by protocol after his knee injury and not rushing it.

"It sounded like he was close to returning to full fitness but his setback has now seen him undergo surgery on his meniscus.

"I do not see him back in training before mid-November."

Leeds United need Max Wober back to full fitness

The 26-year-old played just one game this season for Leeds which was the 3-0 defeat against Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup on 14 August.

Given the club's injury crisis, Farke will undoubtedly be looking forward to getting back to full fitness as soon as possible.
