Daniel Farke has shared a team news update ahead of Leeds United's huge Championship showdown with Sheffield United.

Leeds travel to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield United on Monday (24 February) in a battle between the division's top two sides.

Farke's men enter the game on a superb run of form, most recently defeating fellow promotion chasers Sunderland 2-1 in a dramatic match last Monday (17 February).

Ahead of the Yorkshire derby with Sheffield United, Farke shared an update on Manor Solomon and confirmed two players are definitely out.

Daniel Farke shares Leeds United team news update

Speaking to reporters at his pre-match press conference on Friday (21 February), Farke confirmed that there is a "question mark" over Solomon after he sustained a knock against Sunderland.

Farke said there is a chance the Tottenham loanee could take part in training over the next two days, but it is one to be monitored.

Patrick Bamford and Max Wober, meanwhile, will definitely miss out.

All-in-all, this is a positive update from Farke, though, given the fiery nature of the win over Sunderland four days ago.

Solomon absence would be big blow for Leeds clash v Sheffield United

That said, being without Solomon is of course a big blow for Leeds - if indeed that is the case.

The Spurs loanee has seven goals and seven assists in 26 Championship outings this campaign, including both a goal and assist in Leeds' recent 4-0 win at Watford.

Farke will give Solomon every chance of being back available, though, with the next two days proving pivotal to his chances of featuring.

The good news for Farke is that he has plenty of other attacking options, with Willy Gnonto one of those no doubt chomping at the bit to get a start.

Whoever is selected at Bramall Lane, they will need to put in one of their best displays of the season as a collective in order to come out on top.

A point would no doubt be welcomed at this stage, with that being enough to keep Farke's men well positioned to achieve their aim of promotion.
