Injury expert shares Leeds United update ahead of Premier League clash v Tottenham

Leeds United could be without four first-team players for their crucial Premier League clash against Tottenham on Sunday [28 May], according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.

The Whites enter the final day weekend knowing their Premier League destiny is out of their hands following a damaging 3-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday [21 May].

Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams and Stuart Dallas are all long-term absentees and are all “ruled out” against Spurs on Sunday (28 May) [Premier Injuries].

Junior Firpo who was suspended for Sunday's encounter against West Ham should return to the matchday squad against Spurs while Liam Cooper was present at the London Stadium but did not feature from the bench after his recent groin problem.

However, a fresh blow for Sam Allardyce could potentially emerge after Patrick Bamford came off in the first half of Sunday's disappointing 3-1 result, with no update on his fitness shared as of yet.

Championship on the cards

Leeds United enter this contest on the Premier League final day knowing that their English top-flight destiny is out of their hands and a return to the Sky Bet Championship is very much on the cards, and they'll have no one to blame but themselves.

After starting the game on top and in the lead following Rodrigo’s terrific opener, the Whites simply went back into their shells and allowed the Hammers the freedom of East London to go on and grab a fairly routine win in front of their own fans.

Leeds United desperately lacked the necessary quality, mental strength and fight to overpower their opponents leaving Allardyce bitterly disappointed on the touchline, and he certainly looked like a man terribly uncertain of salvaging a miracle for the club.

The West Ham performance was their worst under Allardyce's three games so far, and that comes at a very bad time given they have to rely on Bournemouth to beat Everton to have any chance of surviving - a rather nerve-wracking and tough spot to be in when involved in a relegation final-day drama.

Tottenham have endured a terrible run of results in recent weeks, which should give Leeds United some encouragement but after the West Ham performance, the Whites faithful can be forgiven for lacking belief in their team in sustaining a last-gasp push for survival.

It's looking incredibly bleak at Elland Road right now.
