Has Joe Rodon injury been delayed as another Leeds United star close to return?
Joe Rodon is facing a serious fight to regain his spot at Leeds United.
The Welsh defender has been out since the second gameweek of the season, pulling up injured against Brentford.
Daniel Farke confirmed it was a hamstring issue, and he's still not yet returned to the grass at Thorp Arch.
The extended international break did calm some of the fallout, but he's still not on the verge of return.
James Justin has stepped up massively, and got his reward with a goal against Arsenal on Saturday in that 2-1 defeat.
With Leeds still gaining immense praise in the Premier League, Rodon will be desperate to return.
When could Joe Rodon return?
Farke confirmed it could be anywhere between eight and 10 weeks on the sideline for his flying defender.
Having started individual sessions, the next step is moving into team training soon.
Ben Dinnery, an expert, has shared on Premier Injuries that Rodon may not return until 31 October.
Thas been moved back from 18 October, with more time needed.
Manchester United are next up on Sunday, with Sunderland to follow on 25 October at the Stadium of Light.
It means that Rodon may not be back in action until Halloween at Bournemouth.
Who could return vs Man United?
It's the big one at Elland Road again on Sunday.
After going to Old Trafford and leaving with all three points last season, it's about doing that infront of a wild home crowd.
Leeds could actually be favourites, too, with Man United in turmoil and heading to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League first.
The one face who could return for that one is Dan James, who could be in the squad against his former side after missing out at Arsenal.
Mateo Joseph is the only other long-term absentee, but it's very likely he's played his final game for Leeds already.
Farke has had the luxury of keeping his team selection the same for weeks now, and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon.
For the likes of James and Rodon, they'll have to do something pretty special to get their spots back in LS11.
Competition only makes the squad better, though, and that's very exciting for everyone at Leeds.
