Ex-Leeds star shares what he's been told about Ramazani amid return from injury

David Norris

MOT Leeds News is delighted to welcome David Norris as an expert pundit. Norris joined Leeds in the summer of 2012 after a stellar season at Portsmouth. After playing 30 times and scoring three goals in the Championship in 2012/13, injuries got the better of the former midfielder before he left in 2015. Norris also played for Plymouth, Ipswich and Blackpool and he's now signed up to MOT Leeds news to share his reaction to the latest news from Elland Road.

Leeds United are getting Largie Ramazani back at the right time for their promotion push, according to David Norris.

The Belgian winger was signed in the summer but has missed a period of the campaign with an ankle injury, sustained when he was beginning to make a solid impact.

Ramazani has returned from the bench in each of the past two games, with seven minutes against Luton Town [27 November] followed by a 22-minute appearance at Blackburn Rovers [30 November], after having travelled with the team to Swansea City on 24 November.

"From what I've seen and the people I've spoken to, Ramazani has been a breath of fresh air when he's been fit, and a necessary replacement for Crysencio Summerville," former Whites midfielder Norris exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

"He's been effective with an attitude where he wants to be there and do well. He's started to return from injury at the right time.

"The fans like him, he just needs to hopefully now stay fit."

Leeds United boosted by Largie Ramazani comeback

Ramazani was signed late in the transfer window when Leeds were becoming desperate, with a squad depleted by a raid courtesy of the Premier League.

The £10million man from Almeria scored in his final appearance before injury, during a 14-minute cameo at Elland Road against Watford on 22 October.

A further two goals and one assist combine with a goal in his last appearance in Spain before coming back to the north of England, where he had previously been as a young prospect with Manchester United.
