Sampdoria need bank agreement as Andrea Radrizzani jets into England for Leeds United takeover
Andrea Radrizzani has jetted into England to finalise the 49ers Enterprises takeover of Leeds United, according to Calcio Finanza.
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds and the 49ers Enterprises are closing in on a takeover agreement with the American-based group valuing the club at a total price of £170million.
Radrizzani is understood to be willing to pass over control of Leeds to the 49ers, who already owned a 44% stake in the club.

And the Italian businessman is targeting the purchase of Sampdoria and a deal is said to be close to a resolution, with the Italian club needing just a bank agreement, according to Calcio Finanza [7 June].
However, the Leeds United chief has jetted into England to finalize the takeover agreement with 49ers Enterprise who are set to have full control of the West Yorkshire outfit, according to the report.
Can’t wait
After news emerged over the past week surrounding Radrizzani’s baffling use of Elland Road as security – or as some may call it, collateral – for any potential takeover over Italian outfit Sampdoria, the majority of the Leeds United fanbase simply cannot wait to see him walk out the Elland Road back door.
The takeover between the 49ers and Radrizzani has been seemingly going on for an age, but it finally looks as though the Italian is willing to relinquish his control of the club which comes as some pleasing news to the Leeds United faithful.

Radrizzani’s purchase of Sampdoria seems to have been what’s holding the 49ers takeover back which is incredibly frustrating for the Leeds United fanbase who simply cannot wait to see the back of him.
That simply should not have any bearing on proceedings at Elland Road, but after all the uncertainty regarding the 49ers’ impending takeover, it now seems that they are intent on completing things quickly.
The club have been in desperate need of change at boardroom level for a long while and the news could not come at a better time for the club as they prepare themselves for a gruelling 2023/24 Championship campaign.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that a Whites senior player is now set to leave the club at a discounted fee post-relegation and will not be signing a new contract.
