The main reason behind Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas’ interest in Leeds United has emerged.
According to Sky Sports on Wednesday 14 June, the Golfing stars could all become part of the investment group at Elland Road.
The Daily Star now report on Thursday 15 June, that fellow professional Matt Fitzpatrick’s caddie, Billy Foster is the reason for their interest.
Foster is known for being a Leeds fanatic, as well as a world-class caddie.
“It also appears as though the reason behind their interest in the Whites stems from Matt Fitzpatrick’s Leeds mad supporting caddie, Billy Foster,” wrote The Daily Star (15 June).

It’s fair to say most Leeds fans won’t have been expecting that news to break on Wednesday evening.
We know the 49ers are a fairly large investment group – just how large remains to be seen. Let’s hope there aren’t too many members. Too many cooks could well spoil the broth.
Nonetheless, it’s good to see some high-profile names linked with Elland Road. We’ve seen the success Wrexham have had with their new ownership.
If Leeds can secure an immediate return to the top flight, there’s a chance the likes of Fowler and Spieth would be willing to search a little deeper into their already large pockets.
But, first things first – a managerial appointment will have to be made. The longer the board leave this mess, the greater impacted Leeds will be in the long run.
With the Championship looking likely to be back to its best next season, It’s absolutely essential for business to be done early and meticulous preparations to be made before the start of the new campaign.
