Paraag Marathe has insisted that he is hopeful Marcelo Bielsa will sign a new contract at Leeds United this summer.

El Loco will complete the final game on his current deal on Sunday afternoon, as West Brom come to Elland Road.

Having returned to the Premier League, Marathe has predicted that the Whites could become one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Leeds United

Speaking to BBC West Yorkshire Sport, Marathe has been giving his views on our first season back in the big time.

"I think the sky is the limit," he said.

"Leeds United can be, could be, should be one of the biggest clubs in the world. I think this year, it is evident by the fact that the confidence, flair, style that we play with is just entertaining football."

Wonderful.

It has been so many years since we have had such transparency from every single member of the board, and that is only getting better.

Fresh investment from the San Francisco 49ers could have changed that with Andrea Radrizzani, but Marathe fits perfectly into this new partnership at Elland Road.

Bielsa staying will be key to taking the Whites to the next stage; just imagine going from the Championship to European football in less than five years.

His massive reputation has brought players such as Rodrigo and Raphinha to the club already, and after shining in our first year back, there is more to come.

Marathe, Radrizzani and Angus Kinnear have all made it clear that they want Bielsa to stick around, and all that is needed is the announcement.
