Paraag Marathe expected to be named Leeds United chairman with £170m deal agreed for Andrea Radrizzani exit
Leeds United and 49ers Enterprises have confirmed they have reached an agreement for the purchase of the club, with Andrea Radrizzani to leave.
The Whites and American firm have agreed a deal worth £170m according to The Times, with the Italian set to leave the club to take over Sampdoria in Serie B.
With Radrizzani to leave his role as chairman, a new one is expected to be appointed and the report (9 June) has suggested that Paraag Marathe will be the man to step into that role with Angus Kinnear continuing to run the day-to-day operations at Elland Road.

“Paraag Marathe, the president of 49ers Enterprises and vice-president of the 49ers, is Leeds’ vice-chairman and is expected to take over as the club’s chairman with Angus Kinnear, the chief executive, continuing in charge of the day-to-day operations,” they wrote.
New chapter
Radrizzani’s time at Elland Road is finally over and now the club can push forward and start planning for the new season properly.
A new manager is needed as an absolute priority so that we know what direction the club are trying to go in for the new season.
On top of that player sales and arrivals need to be dealt with quickly and efficiently so that we can make plans for the new season and start preparation properly.

The 49ers are obviously keen to push this club up to where it belongs and have a lot of extra cash to burn after saving over £200m in this deal, so we could potentially see them spend big to get us back to the Premier League.
Thankfully we’re only at the start of the summer and there is plenty of time for these things to develop, but Leeds are now going in thee right direction.
In other Leeds news, one star could leave after saying the club was “run terribly”.
