Leeds United to bag over £50m from new project at Elland Road
Leeds United could earn over £50million with new hospitality and commercial experiences if they redevelop Elland Road, according to Leeds United News.
The online outlet reported on 29 November that the potential changes in LS11 will be commercially transformative for the Whites.
Based on “a crude pro-rata calculation” if the capacity is expanded to 53,000, this could bring in revenue of around £41m annually.
There would also be a focus on hospitality experiences which would likely result in income of over £50m, which could make Leeds the most matchday revenue outside the Premier League’s so-called Big Six.
Leeds United could make over £50m from Elland Road project
Elland Road is up there with one of the best stadiums in England when it comes to atmosphere, there aren’t many better.
When the ground is full, the noise that the supporters can generate across each and every stand is sure to get the best out of Daniel Farke and his players.
With that being said, there are certain aspects of the stadium which have become dated which points to some modernisation being a positive note.
The way that football is going in terms of finances means there is pressure on clubs to make as much money from matchday with hospitality being a surefire way of securing large sums on a match-by-match basis.

If Leeds can expand the number of corporate opportunities available and make the quality of them better, they can charge larger sums and ultimately make more revenue.
This may represent a blow for the general match-going fan in the long term but this is the way that football finances are right now.
