Leeds United searching for Javi Gracia replacement as sack update emerges
Leeds United are searching for a replacement for manager Javi Gracia as board talks continue after their defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday, say talkSPORT.
The Whites are “seriously considering” terminating the contract of Spanish manager Gracia after a horrible April, where they conceded 23 goals and now sit just one point outside the relegation zone with four games to go.
Despite his current contract being described as “flexible” when he arrived in February, it’s believed to run initially until the end of the season and the club are now considering making a change before the end of the season.

“Leeds United are looking to replace Javi Gracia as manager, talkSPORT understands,” they wrote (1 May).
Get gone
At this point sacking Gracia may be too little too late because the fixtures we have remaining are all unfavourable towards us.
Keeping him in the job is almost an acceptance of relegation at this point because he hasn’t figured out how to get the best from these players and doesn’t know how to use them.

Defensively we are a complete shambles, with a record-breaking number of goals conceded and no sign of him doing anything to change it around either.
By sacking him the club can at least get fans back on side for the final four games and try to unite the club, either by bringing in someone popular to replace him or just giving it a go with Michael Skubala again.
Overall though, something has to change. With four games to go, the board have got very few options but the most obvious one is to get rid of the coach who hasn’t got a clue.
