Leeds United ownership talks to accelerate in next week between 49ers Enterprises and Andrea Radrizzani

Leeds United’s ownership situation is expected to “come to a head” by the end of this week or start of next week, according to Ian Ladyman.

The 49ers were set to take over at Elland Road in the summer before relegation meant that a revised offer needed to be agreed between themselves and Andrea Radrizzani.

But according to Daily Mail journalist Ladyman on his personal Twitter account (31 May), after Radrizzani completed the takeover of Serie B side Sampdoria talks are now set to accelerate in the next week.

“Ownership situation also expected to come to a head end of this wee/start of next,” he wrote .

About time

This needs to happen quickly and be addressed at Elland Road as soon as possible.

Without the ownership situation being clear, we don’t know who is in charge and who the decision maker is when it comes to things such as transfers and the manager situation.

Now that we have a date for things to get sorted, hopefully those talks can accelerate further and a deal can be done quickly so the necessary people can be put in place.

This is going to be a hectic summer with outgoing transfers and incoming players and staff most likely, so the quicker we can start making headway on those things the better.

Radrizzani has already washed his hands of Leeds and now it’s time for him to formally get out of the way to start a new chapter, so the 49ers can focus on getting back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

In other Leeds news, the players have had their say on whether Sam Allardyce should stick around next season.
