Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani who's taken over Sampdoria wants to bring in Blackburn Rovers manager Jon Dahl Tomasson.

According to Club Doria 46 [08 June], the Danish boss was also on Leeds' radar as they're looking for a manager after Sam Allardyce left the club.

However, Radrizzani wants to scupper those plans and see if the Serie B team can convince him to leave Ewood Park.

Surely not?

If Tomasson wants to leave Blackburn, he would want to move to a bigger league and club and not a second-tier side in another country.

He's got an impressive CV and won the league twice with Malmo which also saw him winning the league's Manager of the Year award in 2020.

Leeds are undoubtedly the more palatable option as they've got a better squad than Blackburn and will be among the frontrunners to win the Championship.

Should he manage to guide the Whites back to the Premier League, he'll instantly be in the spotlight and that may be the ideal move he needs to make in his career.

However, Leeds must not just stop at one and they need to consider all prospects and go as ambitious with their next appointment.

There have been links to Graham Potter and that's certainly a move that could be on the cards as his reputation has taken a hit after the Chelsea failure.

He would be looking to re-establish himself and if a Premier League side doesn't come calling, he may fancy moving to Elland Road.
