Leeds United will need to strengthen in the final third before the Premier League kicks off in less than one month.

Patrick Bamford is the Whites' only current out-and-out striker and will need more support at Elland Road next season.

Marcelo Bielsa has shown real loyalty to the 26-year-old, who himself has admitted that he could need support after his 16 goals in the Championship title-winning season.

According to Globoesporte, Bielsa has asked Leeds to bring in Basel striker Arthur Cabral this summer.

The online outlet has reported on their website that the Whites have granted El Loco's demands and have lodged a £16.3million offer for the Brazilian.

Basel are said to want to stretch the offer to at least £18.1million, with complications surrounding any deal for the 22-year-old.

The Swiss club only owns 70% of the striker, with his former clubs Palmeiras and Ceara holding 15% of the player each.

Leeds want full ownership of Cabral, and the South American is said to be excited at the prospect of playing in the Premier League.

It could get complicated, but if Leeds can bring in Cabral they could be getting a real talent at Elland Road.

The 22-year-old got his first taste of Europa League football last season with Basel, and scored 18 goals in all competitions as well as adding three assists.

Cabral has established himself as a finisher in the 19/20 campaign. The Basel man averaged 0.61 goals per game from only 2.86 shots according to WyScout.

That is impressive when you consider that Bamford only averaged 0.36 goals from a huge 3.32 shots - only highlighting Cabral's natural instinct.

The Brazilian could mimic Everton forward Richarlison's route into the Premier League having started in Brazil, and if he can replicate his form, Leeds will be getting a real bargain.
