Leeds United have been linked with a deal to secure the services of Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed his fitness ahead of a potential move this summer.

Despite having Championship Golden Boot winner Joel Piroe in their ranks, the Whites are still understood to be keen on strengthening their attack for next season.

Vanat's fitness record means he should clear his medical without any issues

The Whites are not expected to be put off by anything in Vanat's fitness record, according to Dr Brar.

The only injury the Ukrainian striker sustained was back in November and that may have been a precautionary one.

It's understood that Leeds will have to pay £16.8million to sign Vanat, which is his release clause, according to Futbol 24 (20 May).

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Vanat: "He did have an injury in November, which kept him out for international games.

"This could even be precautionary as he returned right after. Vanat also appeared to play fairly regularly and the entire match so that’s always a positive.

"I would not anticipate any issues with his medical and Leeds should go ahead based on his injury record."

Leeds United will strengthen their first team by signing Vanat

Vanat would be a quality signing for Leeds United this summer due to his prolific goal-scoring and versatility, addressing their need for a reliable striker.

The 23-year-old Dynamo Kyiv forward has notched 21 goals and eight assists in 43 games this past season, showcasing his clinical finishing and playmaking ability.

His release clause is a bargain for a player with a 48-goal, 22-assist record in 112 appearances, offering a significant upgrade over Piroe’s output.

Vanat’s pace, work rate and ability to play as a No. 9 or winger suit Daniel Farke’s high-pressing system at Elland Road.

Despite limited experience outside Ukraine, his international pedigree and comparisons to Robin van Persie suggest he can adapt and thrive in the Premier League.
