Leeds United are just days away from learning their financial situation with FFP amid worries that last season's relegation would put a monetary strain on the club, according to Leeds Live.

The online source reported [24 March] that the club's accounts have been filed with Companies House between March 30 and April 8 in each of the last seven years, suggesting the Whites could be told their fate within the next week.

It is understood that "noises" from Elland Road have remained confident about Leeds' FFP situation, despite being relegated to the Championship with several players on eye-watering salaries.

"The document will give a full picture of what’s gone in and out of the club for the period up to June 30, 2023," wrote Beren Cross.

"It won’t, therefore, document this season’s finances, but at least provides a benchmark for how things were looking coming out of relegation last summer."

Leeds United to avoid punishment unlike Leicester City

Leicester City are currently in a sticky situation, having been charged with a breach of Profit and Sustainability rules, although, unsurprisingly, the Foxes dispute it.

Leeds, on the other hand, were quick to offload their highest-paid players in the summer, putting themselves at much greater safety than their Championship promotion rivals.

The likes of Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Brendan Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Maximilian Wober, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra all left Elland Road during the summer transfer window, with the latter duo making permanent moves eventually.

Leeds United Daniel Farke
Daniel Farke has had to deal with a lot of change at Leeds United, especially with his set of players

This has clearly benefitted those at Leeds, with Daniel Farke almost completing an incredible feat of achieving Premier League promotion with the current team, having overtaken Leicester at the top of the table.

With his expertise in the division, having taken Norwich City up the Premier League twice, Farke has already reached multiple milestones and will be hoping to claim the title now.
