Jack Harrison left Leeds United on loan to join Fiorentina in January.

The 29-year-old is currently featuring in Serie A after a hugely underwhelming spell back at Elland Road following his return from Everton.

He spent two years on Merseyside before becoming a controversial member of Daniel Farke's squad after promotion to the Premier League was sealed.

That didn't last long as just months after coming back to Yorkshire, he would depart on loan again, this time to Florence in a surprise move.

Harrison has now made four appearances in Italy, and MOT Leeds News has rounded up everything we know about his contract in LS11.

What is Jack Harrison’s current contract situation at Leeds United?

The Englishman is hardly the most popular figure on the terraces at Elland Road, and there was very little pushback on his loan departure in the winter.

After making just 13 appearances this campaign, the attacker hadn't provided a single goal or assist and was falling out of favour.

Brenden Aaronson became a Premier League regular in the new 3-5-2 formation, and that pretty much spelt an end to his time in Yorkshire.

The only issue with that is the fact that Harrison is still under contract with Leeds until 2028, having signed a five-year deal back in April 2023.

He is on a reported weekly wage of £44,000-per-week, totalling over £2.3million a year for a player who is increasingly unlikely to be a regular for Leeds ever again.

The Whites could get that salary off their books in the summer if Fiorentina opt to purchase the wideman, which they have the option to do.

What are the terms of Harrison's loan move to Fiorentina?

It made sense for Harrison to part ways with Daniel Farke and Co., but that didn't take away from the surprise of Fiorentina's interest.

The Viola eventually completed a loan deal for the winger, with that featuring an opportunity for that to become permanent in the summer.

Reports suggest that the Serie A side can sign him for around £6m at the end of his loan spell after paying the vast majority of wages this campaign.

There is no obligation as part of his loan agreement, so a summer transfer will ultimately depend on his form in Italy across the rest of the season.

Leeds will hope that he hits a positive level, and that option is activated, but that won't be revealed until the campaign comes to an end.
