Leeds United will have £60million in mind when deciding whether to sack Daniel Farke.

Leeds fell to a 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Sunday, following up the heavy defeat at Brighton in the previous week, to leave them one point above the relegation zone.

With West Ham and Forest improving, Leeds fans are already fearing the worst in a repeat of the negligence that saw them relegated last time.

Leeds United sack could be worth millions

Dan Plumley shared that the difference between TV money at the top level against parachute payments creates a £60m gap for relegated clubs to deal with.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, the football finance expert admitted that Leeds will be planning for the worst around Farke ahead of the busiest period of the year.

"It's ultimately a £60million question," Plumley said.

"That's the difference between the TV money and parachute payments, I know Leeds had those recently, but it's still the same difference if you were to get relegated.

"So, if you were thinking about changing things from a managerial point of view, then around this time of the season or a little bit further towards the window in January, you are ulitmately asking yourself a £60m question.

"That's what it is going to cost you in revenue terms if you are relegated. Hopefully, you plan for the worst as well."

Jesse Marsch case study clouds over Leeds

The last time Leeds were relegated, Jesse Marsch was facing severe sack pressure before the Qatar World Cup brought the season to a halt.

The Canadian survived after Leeds beat Liverpool at Anfield, but fans still wanted him gone.

The Whites would go on to miss out on the likes of Unai Emery to Aston Villa in that time, before being relegated under some of the most comical managerial appointments like Sam Allardyce.

It will be interesting to see if they've learned their lesson; it could cost £60m.
