Victor Orta works on double Leeds United transfer blitz with four players watched closely

Victor Orta is closely watching four players as he looks to bring in a new striker, as well as a winger at Leeds United this summer, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The newspaper has reported in their print edition [27 June, pg. 23] that the Spaniard is closely watching two wingers with one set to replace Raphinha should he leave.

Orta is also said to be hot on the heels of two strikers, with one blockbuster arrival expected in the final third as Brugges star Charles De Ketelaere is joined by an unnamed option.

Writing in his latest column, Smyth shared how Orta is getting to work with things expected to once again ramp up at Elland Road in the coming weeks.

“Orta is tracking a pair of replacements for the potential wing vacancy,” he wrote.

“He is also working on a centre-forward, with two targets topping his list. Leeds remain very interested in Brugge star Charle De Ketelaere, who is also on AC Milan’s radar.”

Four names.

Orta is very much hard at work right now.

Leeds are in the market for a new midfielder with Tyler Adams said to be top of the list, as well as a new winger and a new striker as the club get set for a major reshuffle.

That was always going to happen if Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha left the club, and both of those are expected to over the next month, with the England man already having one foot in at Manchester City.

Regardless of those two, a new striker was always wanted.

Patrick Bamford only played nine times last season, and the likes of Dan James and Rodrigo failed to fill that gap despite them playing nearly every single game.

De Ketelaere would be a huge addition to this squad, but it is great to see that another option is on the table so that not everything would collapse should that not happen.

The Belgian clearly looks to be the number one choice and the main signing of the summer if possible, and it will be interesting to see if Orta can pull that one off.

One thing is for sure, this second transfer blitz of the summer could be sensational.
