Supercomputer predicts Leeds United vs Chelsea result in Premier League showdown

Leeds United will struggle to secure a victory against Chelsea in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Leeds’ 3-2 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium was an eventful affair.

After staging the comeback with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, Leeds were hit with a Phil Foden dagger in stoppage time

It was a difficult way to end a solid performance against one of the best teams in the world.

Now, the Whites will be hoping to grind out a result when they welcome Chelsea to Elland Road on Wednesday

Leeds United are not favourites against Chelsea

Daniel Farke is under pressure at Leeds, with the Whites 17th in the Premier League and Burnley breathing down their neck.

However, respite is not expected to come against the Blues, given that Leeds are not the favourites to win the confrontation, according to Opta’s Supercomputer.

After drawing to league leaders Arsenal with 10 men on Sunday, Enzo Maresca’s side have a 60.3 per cent chance of claiming all three points.

Meanwhile, the home side have a 19.1 chance of lifting themselves out of the relegation zone.

There is a 20.6 per cent chance that the game ends in a draw.

The Blues are one of the best teams in the league and it would be unrealistic to expect the Whites to grind out a result.

But with Farke edging closer towards the sack at Leeds, a defeat but a convincing performance could be enough to see him over the line.

It is not looking good for Leeds United

Leeds’ and Chelsea’s all-time head-to-head record actually bodes better for the Whites than first expected.

However, the recently promoted side have won just a single of their five most recent fixtures.

Their form heading into the clash will not place fans in the best spirits either.

Indeed, Chelsea are unbeaten in their last five matches while the Whites have a single victory in their last five games.

It’s a complete mismatch, and Farke’s side will need to do something special to secure all three or even a single point on Wednesday.
