'Standout name' - Ben Parker showers praise on 'fantastic' Leeds ace who started v Arsenal
It was 24 hours to remember for Leeds United midfielder Robbie Gotts on Monday.
After appearing on the bench 35 times without making his debut, Marcelo Bielsa finally gave the youngster his chance against Arsenal.
Leeds dominated large period of the games, and like Gotts, they were unfazed by the occasion at the Emirates Stadium.
Ben Parker was particularly impressed with the decision to finally give Gotts his debut against Arsenal, claiming he has all the attributes to succeed at Elland Road.
"Robbie Gotts is the standout name," he said on the LUTV website.
"I think he's a fantastic young player. First and foremost, what stands out about him is his attitude.
"He always gives 110%, but then he has the quality to back it up."
Gotts was solid enough in North London against a near full-strength Arsenal side and could have even scored, chipping a low ball into the box over the bar.
With Adam Forshaw, Pablo Hernandez, and Tyler Roberts all still currently missing, there is still a chance for Gotts to keep his spot in the side in the Championship.
The 20-year-old will be expected to go straight back onto the bench for Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday, but there is a possibility he could start.
Luke Ayling left the field against Arsenal holding his hamstring, so should he miss the Yorkshire derby, Stuart Dallas would most likely move back leaving a spot in the middle of the park - a space for Gotts to possibly stay in the side.
