Radrizzani and Bielsa in meeting with Leeds requests made
Andrea Radrizzani was back in town this week as Leeds United got their Premier League season back underway.
The Italian owner was spotted at Thorp Arch through the week in the build-up to that embarrassing defeat at Manchester United.
Phil Hay shared that a meeting with Marcelo Bielsa took place, with certain requests being made and discussed.
Writing for the Athletic this morning, Hay shared the news that would likely lead to disappointed fans.
"Bielsa could not have been more effusive on Thursday about pre-season — the improvements to infrastructure and the process of recruitment," he wrote.
"When the club’s chairman, Andrea Radrizzani, turned up at Thorp Arch, there were discussions about more alterations to the training ground."
Really?
Yesterday proved more than ever that we are desperate for two, if not even more new players in these two weeks.
Radrizzani can not have been impressed with how seriously thin the squad is looking, with our substitutes only strengthened by those being rested.
Outside of Junior Firpo and Kalvin Phillips, it was a Championship bench at best, and something needs to change.
Bielsa may have insisted he was happy with his squad this week, but we need desperate changes, especially before spending more millions on the training ground.
We hope there is a change of tune shortly, or we may have to expect more performances like that against many of the bigger sides this season.
