Daniel Farke sleepwalking to Leeds United sack with decision not far away

Leeds United looked like serious relegation candidates for the first time in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds crashed to a 2-0 defeat against Burnley, with Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna scoring the goals on a bleak outing at Turf Moor.

Brenden Aaronson’s terrible miss when through on goal was as good as it got for the Whites, who are yet to win since their 3-1 success at Wolves.

For Daniel Farke, one trend proves he is only getting closer to the sack at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke could get himself sacked at Leeds

Paraag Marathe stuck by Farke in the summer when suggestions appeared that he could be set for the sack despite winning the Championship.

Often labelled as stubborn, the German started the Premier League with a new system, which made Leeds hard to beat in games.

That has already become his downfall, with the Leeds side against Burnley shocking.

Despite Dan James not being fully fit, Noah Okafor and Willy Gnonto being injured, Farke stuck with two wingers and played Aaronson and Jack Harrison.

Rather than changing system to add physicality with possibly another defender to push Gabriel Gudmundsson and Jayden Bogle further forward, he got it all wrong – again.

What is the trend that could get Daniel Farke sacked?

Leeds have looked defensively sound this season, except against Arsenal, but they have slowly started to fall back into their old ways, conceding easy goals.

In fact, they have now conceded first in their last five Premier League games, something that you simply can’t afford to do when battling relegation.

Only in the Wolves game did they manage to turn it around, and they would have had another two points on the board if not for that late Bournemouth calamity at Elland Road.

You cannot put yourself in that position every single week in the best league in the world; it will eventually catch up with you, exactly like it did on Saturday at Burnley, with zero answers.

If Farke doesn’t solve that, it won’t be long until he is sacked like Ange Postecoglou.
