Leeds United satisfaction emerges after promising Premier League reveal

Daniel Farke has started the season well with Leeds United.

Leeds United host Tottenham this weekend, looking to end the current period with a win before the October international break, having picked up some pleasing results in the last few weeks.

A draw against Bournemouth, despite the nature of the late goal, was a solid result for the Whites, as was their 3-1 victory against Wolves, who held Tottenham to a draw on their last outing.

The Whites have picked up eight points from their first six games, which spells good news for Leeds after what has previously happened in the Premier League.

No Premier League side has been relegated after picking up 11 points from 10 games

Leeds are just three points away from their 11th point of the season, which may not seem like a particularly interesting milestone.

However, every promoted side to have picked up at least 11 points from their first 10 games has gone on to avoid relegation, and with Leeds just one win away from that, things are looking bright.

Those sentiments are echoed by Ian Darke, who, when speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, emphasises how the Whites should be satisfied with their start to the campaign.

He said: “I think what they’ve proved so far is they’ve got a realistic chance. I think they’ve strengthened the side quite cleverly, notably Stach in midfield and as I think we said in the summer, Longstaff is proving to be a good signing with Premier League experience.

“So those two are standouts, I would say, and it’s going pretty well for them, especially in the last couple of weeks.

“So they’re a long way from getting the job done, but I think they can hold their heads up high, and this is a very satisfactory start.

Leeds’ record vs Tottenham ahead of Elland Road clash

Tottenham, understandably so, have had the last laugh on more occasions than Leeds over the last few meetings, with five wins from the last six.

Leeds’ last win against Spurs arrived in 2021, when Stuart Dallas, Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo were on the score sheet to secure a 3-1 win at Elland Road.

While none of the players are around anymore, the Whites have several stars looking to make their mark and put an end to the run of defeats against the North Londoners.

Tottenham may be favourites to beat Leeds, but as they have already showcased on several occasions this season, the Whites can cause an upset.
