Mateusz Klich spotted with DC United chief on Instagram as Leeds United exit as good as confirmed
Mateusz Klich has been spotted with DC United’s Ownership Advisor Jordan Stuart, as his exit from Leeds United is now as good as confirmed.
Stuart has posted a picture of himseld with Klich on his Instagram story, which gives an indication that the official confirmation is just around the corner.
Leeds officially confirmed that the Polish midfielder will leave the club after playing his last game against West Ham, but the Whites are yet to announce the deal with DC United.
It looks like it is only a matter of time before the club makes it official, but nevertheless, Klich’s Elland Road exit is as good as done.
The player will move on, the club will move on, and the fans will move on as well, but the legacy lives forever.
Klich played his last game for the Whites in the 2-2 draw against West Ham on 4 January and he penned an emotional farewell letter.
It was an emotional night for everyone as Klich was left in tears. The Whites players tried to give him the best tribute as possible by giving him a guard of honour.
From Kalvin Phillips to Stuart Dallas, players have shared their love and admiration for Klich who joined the Whites in 2017 and made 195 appearances for the club.
Klich was a key player under Marcelo Bielsa and played a massive role in taking the club back to the Premier League.
A classy player who has got plenty of football left in him, we all expect Klich to do well in the MLS.
It remains to be seen if the Whites sign his replacement this month. The club have signed a defender already, and are on the verge of landing a striker this week.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are keen on signing this Wolves player in January.
