Leeds frontrunners to seal Silva Mexes transfer after Man United exit developments
Leeds United are the current frontrunners to sign Silva Mexes.
Mexes is currently on the books of Manchester United, with the 15-year-old winger playing ahead of his age group at Old Trafford already.
The Talent Hunter has reported that the Thailand youth international looks set to leave the Red Devils at the end of the season, unless a contract agreement can be found in the next two months.
With his departure described as imminent, Leeds are said to be strongly interested in a deal at Elland Road.
Who else wants to sign Silva Mexes?
It is said that Ipswich and Nottingham Forest are also keeping a close eye on Mexes, as his contract ticks down towards its end.
Despite that, Leeds are ahead in the race with the possible transfer drama already coined as one to watch for the young Thai star.
Mexes has been playing for the Under-16s at Manchester United, while representing his country at the Under-17s level already, too.
Who else have Leeds signed for their academy?
Liverpool talent Liam Balmer appears next through the door at Thorp Arch, with the young defender sharing a post on Instagram basically confirming it.
He will follow Edward Ibrovic-Fletcher to LS11, with the young attacker also joining from Man United and already scoring his first goal for the Whites.
Kai Morrall, Alfie Walker and Jayden Lienou are also recent arrivals from top four Premier League sides, showing just how much importance Leeds have placed on youth signings recently.
Daniel Farke will obviously have all eyes on keeping Leeds in the Premier League right now, but it is always positive to see such focus on the academy.
The Whites have always been a hub for getting young players into the senior game. Just look at Archie Gray, who was sold for £40million after one year of real exposure.
It is good to see the Premier League’s biggest clubs being raided too, with several additions coming across from Manchester now, with the pathway getting clearer at Elland Road.
