Leeds willing to sell 23-year-old in January after recent new arrival - report
Leeds United are willing to sell goalkeeper Kamil Miazek before the end of the January window, according to Football Insider.
It is suggested that the Whites are eager to offload the Polish stopper ahead of his contract expiring at the end of this season at Elland Road.
According to the report, the 23-year-old is set to fall even further down the pecking order in West Yorkshire after the arrival of Elia Caprile from Italy.
Kiko Casilla remains first-choice and has kept the most clean sheets in the Championship despite a shaky month for the Spaniard.
Behind him is Illan Meslier. The French loanee burst onto the scene against Arsenal at the beginning of the month and proved he is hot on the tail of Casilla to be starting games consistently under Marcelo Bielsa.
Then it goes to the under-23s. Carlos Corberan had both Caprile and Miazek available to him at Wolves on Friday and opted for the latter in the 2-2 draw.
You can only assume that Caprile came to the club with the expectation of regular football, at least in the under-23s - something that may well come with this update.
It seems a shame to potentially lose Miazek, who has not done much wrong at the club this season. The Pole impressed against Wolves and made a number of cracking saves at their Midlands training ground.
One of the most important skills to be a goalkeeper under Bielsa is your distribution. That is where Miazek lacks, and he proved that once again with a number of mistakes.
It might be a shame, but with three goalkeepers ahead of him, it looks inevitable. If Miazek hasn't cemented a spot in the first-team squad by the age of 23, it is increasingly unlikely that he has the backing of Bielsa - making this update no real surprise.
