Wolves respond to Leeds’ bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen as Molineux exit stance emerges
Leeds have stepped up their hunt to sign Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen before the winter transfer window shuts in just over a week.
The Yorkshire giants have until 7pm on Monday, 2 February, to conclude any new signings.
Leeds have already signed Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton this month, but it seems that Daniel Farke isn’t keen on the Argentine being the only addition to his attack.
The Telegraph reported on Friday that Leeds have made an “official” bid for Strand Larsen, who has been strongly linked with a move away from Wolves in this window.
Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and West Ham are also reportedly keen on the 25-year-old Norwegian forward.

Wolves reject Leeds’ bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen
While the Telegraph revealed that a bid had been made, they didn’t share what the outcome of the offer was.
According to Sky Sports News journalist Lyall Thomas, Wolves have rejected Leeds’ offer.
It’s unclear how much Leeds have bid to bring the former Celta Vigo star to Elland Road. However, it is understood that the doomed West Midlands club want £40million for their star man.
Thomas adds that Wolves are happy for Strand Larsen to stay, but there is plenty of interest in him ahead of the final week of the window.

In 20 Premier League appearances this season, Leeds target Strand Larsen has scored just one goal, which came against Burnley in October, and supplied only one assist.
Away from the league action, the centre-forward has scored twice in the Carabao Cup and netted a hat-trick against Shrewsbury earlier this month in the third round of the FA Cup.
What has Wolves boss Rob Edwards recently said about Strand Larsen?
Speaking after that 6-1 win over Shrewsbury on 10 January, Wolves manager Rob Edwards was full of praise for Strand Larsen.
However, Edwards also admitted that the £40m-rated man has been struggling lately.
“It was amazing for him. I’m really pleased,” said Edwards.
“He’s been working so hard and it’s been a difficult time for him, personally as well, but we all go through this.
“We all have to take criticism when we’re in this job and in this industry, but it’s about how you can come back from that, and he’s been really good.“
And what do the stats say about him?
It’s obviously been a very difficult season for Wolves, who are rock bottom of the Premier League, with just one win and eight points to their name after 22 matches.
Strand Larsen’s form has suffered as a result.
| Month | Avg. rating | Appearances |
| August | 7.0 | 3 |
| September | 6.4 | 3 |
| October | 6.5 | 6 |
| November | 6.5 | 5 |
| December | 6.2 | 6 |
| January | 7.3 | 4 |
According to Sofascore, he finished last season with an average match rating in the Premier League of 6.88. However, this season, he’s only on 6.31.
His form has improved lately, though, with the Norwegian averaging a 7.3 rating in his four appearances in January.
