‘Daniel Farke will keep Leeds United in the Premier League due to this one stat’
Daniel Farke is the man to keep Leeds in the Premier League, and the numbers prove it.
Leeds decided to stick with Farke in the summer, despite concerns over his dismal record in the top-flight with Norwich.
Farke has been under increasing pressure at Leeds once again, due to a run of just one win in their last five matches.
The figures suggest that the 49ers Enterprises group needs to be patient and stick with Farke in the dugout and withstand the urge to dismiss him.

Only three teams beat Leeds in key Premier League metric
Leeds are expected to be in a relegation battle, but the numbers reveal that they should be much higher in the table.
The Whites rank as the fourth-best team in the division for expected goals against (xGA), which is a key metric when it comes to defending.
Only Arsenal (6.57), Newcastle (8.77) and Manchester City (9.99) have allowed less than Farke’s side’s 11.82 xGA this season, per Understat.

What does Leeds’ xGA figure mean?
The use of stats in football is often confusing for many supporters, but xGA is actually quite easy to understand.
- It is a tally of the expected goals that a team has conceded in their matches this season, which is the value of each chance that they allow.
- It takes into account things like distance, angle and type of shot
- For example, a shot from outside the penalty area will have a lower xG valuation than one from inside the six-yard box.
It essentially means that the Whites have not allowed many clear-cut chances, and their defensive strategy is working the way that it is supposed to.
Farke’s problems seem to be at the other end of the pitch, where Leeds have the 12th-highest expected goals figure in the division, but only the fourth-worst amount of goals.
The LS11 outfit have created 12.94 xG, but only scored nine goals in their 10 matches so far.
However, if they keep up with the best defences in the league with Farke in charge, then surely they will have no chance of dropping back down to the Championship.
