Jaka Bijol’s transfer value surges to new high as teammate suffers major dip
Jaka Bijol has found it tough for minutes at Leeds United recently, but Daniel Farke may have to think twice about omitting the defender now.
Results over the last few weeks in the Premier League have not been ideal, with the Whites plunged back into the relegation conversation.
Daniel Farke may opt to make a few changes in his starting lineup as he seeks a new formula for success this campaign.
Bijol, who has found starts rare this season, could be one of the beneficiaries after an impressive showing in the FA Cup against Norwich.
However, now a new reveal about the Leeds star’s price tag may surprise a few based on his position among the squad.

How much is Jaka Bijol worth for Leeds?
Bijol has been linked with an exit away from Leeds, and the Whites could end up bringing in a hefty fee if they sanction that sale.
The centre-back has been out of favour for much of this campaign, so a sale would not be too surprising this summer.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, Bijol is now estimated to be the most valuable player at Elland Road.
The Slovenian defender is touted to be worth between €19million and €22m (£16.4million and £19m).

This honour was previously held by Leeds loanee Facundo Buonanotte, who back in February was valued around £19m to £22m.
However, his lack of game time has now seemingly dropped his value, with Bijol usurping the 21-year-old midfielder.
Bijol’s rise to the top of the list could now highlight the important role he is set to play for the rest of the season after making a strong case to start against Crystal Palace.
Where would Jaka Bijol rank in Leeds’ highest sales?
At that price estimated by CIES Football Observatory, the 27-year-old would enter the Peacocks’ top 10 largest exits.
At the minimum fee of £16.4m, Bijol would come in above Chris Wood, who was sold to Burnley for a fee around £15m. The New Zealand striker is listed in ninth on that list.
- Leeds’ highest ever sale is Raphinha who was sold to Barcelona for £50m, potentially rising to £55 million in add-ons
- Rio Ferdinand’s £30m sale to Manchester United in 2002-2003 remains Leeds’ largest defensive sale
Additionally, Bijol’s price tag is just an estimate, and with his contract valid until 2030, the Elland Road outfit could demand a fee way above £19m.
If he comes back into Farke’s plan over the coming months and performs to a high standard that helps keep Leeds in the Premier League, then a sale should not even be in the 49ers’ minds anyway.
It will certainly be an important few months for both Bijol and the Whites.
