Leeds have not bid for Adama Traore this week

Leeds United made the headlines this week as reports of a £30million bid for Wolves winger Adama Traore surfaced.

Duncan Castles reported that the Whites had planned to smash their transfer record, but the Spaniard wasn't keen on the switch.

Alex Crook of talkSPORT has responded to those reports on Sunday and has immediately shut them down.

The reliable journalist has been informed that Leeds have not in fact made the huge offer for Traore this week.

Sharing the major update on his personal Twitter account this morning, Whites fans are surely buzzing.

"Told Wolves have not received any bid from Leeds for Adama Traore," he wrote.

No surprise.

We found it highly unlikely that Leeds will have thrown that type of cash at Traore when the likes of Rodrigo De Paul were not fancied at that price.

The Spaniard was also said to see the Whites as a side-step, despite Wolves struggling last season and Marcelo Bielsa taking us towards Europe.

Traore has no end product, and only scored once in the Premier League last season - nowhere near enough to justify that price.

Jack Harrison and Raphinha have cemented their spots as guaranteed starters, and a younger, cheaper winger is likely to be targeted.

The likes of Daniel James and Noa Lang are more realistic targets this summer, and it could go to the very last day of the window.

We expect Victor Orta to be chasing a new midfielder first, never mind splashing £30million on Traore.
