Andrea Radrizzani spotted in stands: Three things you may have missed in Leeds United vs Burnley
Leeds United cruised to a 3-1 win over Burnley, but there were some brilliant moments at Elland Road apart from the goals.
Daniel Farke made three changes from the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea last weekend, and the switches seemed to pay off, despite injury and fitness hurdles in the way.
Anton Stach scored a beautiful first-half goal from range, as efforts in the second 45 from Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealed the deal, despite a consolation from Loum Tchaouna.
The Whites have now all but confirmed their Premier League status for another season after the win, with nine points now separating them from the final relegation spot.
Leeds had some big performances against Burnley, but MOT Leeds takes a look at some of the moments you may not have seen during the game.

What was Andrea Radrizzani doing at Elland Road?
Radrizzani was supposed to return to Elland Road last year when the Whites hosted West Ham in October, but this was pushed back by Leeds chiefs, who were unhappy about the disclosed details of the situation, which he revealed.
Regardless, Adam Pope spotted the former Leeds chairman live in the flesh, as it seems he will have watched the full game from the stands.
You’ve got to ask, what was he doing there? Especially considering Leeds chiefs previously blocked his return.
Thomas Bramall decision creates new Leeds United rivalry
Leeds fans will have been worried heading into the clash with the Clarets with Thomas Bramall the selected man in the middle for the match.
Supporters will have remembered his name for the scenes in the 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace in March, where the referee controversially sent Gabriel Gudmundsson off with a second yellow card.
| Area of game | Leeds | Burnley |
| Fouls | 11 | 11 |
| Cards | 4 | 3 |
Stach’s goal gave the Whites the advantage they probably needed, as Leeds were robbed of a foul on the edge of Burnley’s box before the break, sparking a counterattack for the visitors that enraged Elland Road.
Boo’s rang round the stadium, directed at Bramall, who was then told that he’s “not fit to referee”.
It feels like in that moment, the Gudmundsson situation was at the front of people’s minds, and the referee may never enjoy coming to Elland Road ever again.

Lee Hendrie, on commentary, also said he didn’t agree with Bramall’s decision to book Calvert-Lewin early into the second half, too.
If he wasn’t an enemy before, he truly is now.
Jaidon Anthony was incredibly poor on Elland Road return
Jaidon Anthony was a scary prospect that Leeds had to battle against last season in the Championship, as he was one of Burnley’s biggest threats.
The 26-year-old spent the 2023-24 season on loan with the Whites and was poor, so to see him play terribly at Elland Road was probably no real surprise.
- Anthony had 0% success with dribbles and crosses
- He is now seven games without a goal involvement
The winger fell over in the third minute while trying to keep the ball in play, only for it to go out for a Leeds throw-in, and a chorus of cheers followed from the Elland Road faithful.
It’s safe to say that Leeds will not regret opting against signing Anthony on a permanent transfer.
