Manchester United are set to play host to Leeds United at Old Trafford on Monday, but a number of players could be absent from both teams.

Both sides come into the latest Premier League clash off the back of a draw in their last league outing before the March international break.

The Whites featured in their FA Cup quarter-final last week and have the confidence of a penalty shootout win to take with them to the Theatre of Dreams.

Michael Carrick’s side haven’t played since a 2-2 draw away to Bournemouth on 20 March, where the Red Devils threw away the lead on two occasions.

Leeds are now set to face Man United, but both outfits are going to face injury and suspension issues of their own.

Daniel Farke has gone from having a dreamy injury list with hardly anyone missing to having a number of first-team stars out.

The Brentford clash before the international break saw just one name missing after Gabriel Gudmundsson was suspended at Elland Road.

Things have certainly taken a turn for the worse in Yorkshire, as now the LS11 outfit could be without six for a trip to Old Trafford.

The Sweden international is one of those after picking up a groin injury while away on international break.

He is a doubt for the Man United clash, but could feature as himself, Jaka Bijol and Noah Okafor all face late fitness tests.

Farke will almost certainly be without three as Anton Stach, Joe Rodon and Dan James all look set to be absent at the Theatre of Dreams.

Stach picked up an injury against West Ham and will certainly represent a big miss for the Whites after a stellar debut season so far.

Things have certainly been positive for Carrick since taking over as interim head coach, but injuries and suspensions are taking a toll on his squad right now.

That is summed up by the absence of Harry Maguire against Leeds after his red card away to Bournemouth last time around.

He has joined multiple first-team stars like Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu, who will certainly miss the clash on Monday.

They could be joined by Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, Lisandro Martinez and Diogo Dalot, who all face late tests ahead of the Old Trafford clash.
