Leeds transfer traffic jam could lead to deadline-busting new striker signing, AC Milan heavily involved
Leeds’ bid to seal late additions to Daniel Farke’s squad seems to have hit a wall due to inactivity elsewhere in the market.
49ers Enterprises are seemingly at the middle of the traffic jam, with Rangers currently struggling to sign Hansa Rostock forward Ryan Naderi, while having Leeds’ Joel Piroe as a back-up option in case they’re unable to sign the German.
At the same time, Leeds are also looking to bolster their front line and have lined up a late move for Wolves and Norway forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
It’s been reported that Leeds have offered £39million for Strand Larsen, with Wolves yet to accept or reject that proposal.
However, Crystal Palace are also keen on the Molineux striker, who could be losing Jean-Philippe Mateta to AC Milan.

Leeds signing Jorgen Strand Larsen to depend on moves elsewhere
The backlog of transfers means that we could see some very late deals getting done, according to award-winning journalist Adonis Storr, who’s been featured in the Telegraph, iPaper and on BBC Sport.
“Ryan Naderi to Rangers and Mateta to AC Milan are the deals that could affect Strand-Larsen to Leeds,” he said on X on Friday.
“If [the] Naderi deal doesn’t get done, Rangers will focus on Piroe.
“[The] Mateta deal affects Palace’s move for Strand Larsen.
“These domino transfers could keep the window alive until the deadline.”
What stats say about Strand Larsen’s season amid Wolves horror show
The headline stats about Strand Larsen’s season at Wolves make for pretty grim reading for Leeds fans, who are seeing their club offer an eyewatering sum of money for the Norway international.
In 21 Premier League appearances, he’s scored just one goal, and Wolves’ only league win of the campaign came after Rob Edwards dropped the striker to the bench.
In fact, Strand Larsen can’t even get into the starting line-up of the worst team in the Premier League right now, with the ex-Celta Vigo player’s last league start coming on 20 December.

Wolves’ form has improved without him starting, although he did get an assist when he came off the bench in their 1-1 draw with Everton on 7 January.
Stats by Sofascore show that Strand Larsen has underperformed on his xG this term, but he’s also not been given that many opportunities to score.
Whether that’s down to his teammates not giving him the chances or he’s been unable to make them himself, it’s clear that Strand Larsen is one of the reasons why Wolves have been so bad this term.
