'Fantastic' - BBC pundit heaps praise on Andrea Radrizzani after 'massive' Leeds update
Noel Whelan has heaped praise on Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani after the Whites recently signed a deal with Adidas.
Football Insider reported that the German giants will manufacture Leeds' kits from the beginning of next season, their first-ever time doing so.
The value of the deal is suggested to be dependant on whether or not Leeds earn promotion to the Premier League this season.
Whelan also praised Adidas for making the decision to join with the 'biggest' club in the Championship.
"It is very good business from Radrizzani," the BBC pundit told Football Insider.
"Commercially, Adidas sells. For the club financially, it will be fantastic. Credit the players as well. Only a successful side and a big side (could achieve this).
"We are the biggest supported club in the Championship and possibly top half in the Premier League as well. The magnitude of our football club is massive.
"Credit to the fans as well for shirt sales and for sticking with Leeds week in, week out. Adidas have been clever as well – they have chosen the biggest club in the Championship."
Leeds are set to join a number of the biggest clubs in the Premier League with Adidas, such as Arsenal, Wolves, and Manchester United.
The Whites' shirt sales are already amongst the best in the country, and this move by Radrizzani is set to take those to next level already in the club shops and online.
Marcelo Bielsa's arrival took the magnitude of the club to the next level, and this news is set to continue that rise, the only thing left? Premier League football.
