Dominic Matteo sends four-word Twitter message after Leeds win 1-0 v Bristol City
Dominic Matteo couldn’t hide his delight on Saturday evening after Leeds United were the only team in the top-seven of the Championship to pick up three points.
The Whites’ legend was happy with his former side beating Bristol City 1-0 at Elland Road, as West Brom, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford all notably dropped points.
Luke Ayling’s first-half strike was enough for Leeds to get the win, but it should have been a much-bigger margin as Lee Johnson was given yet another footballing lesson by Marcelo Bielsa.
Matteo took to his personal Twitter account on Saturday evening to post the message, as Leeds went four points behind the Baggies whilst opening up another three-point gap to Fulham in third.
“Happy with today’s results!” he wrote.

It is starting to get into the business end of the season with 13 games to go in the Championship and Leeds could have picked the perfect time to start another unbeaten run with some favourable fixtures coming up in the next month.
A home game against Reading is followed by away trips to struggling Middlesbrough and Hull City as the Whites could start to put space between them and the play-offs once again.
Looking at a recent graph which highlights how tough the top-six club’s remaining fixtures are, Leeds sit top with only Fulham left to play from the play-offs.
