Leeds line up January move to sign Danilho Doekhi as Daniel Farke drops transfer update
Danilho Doekhi could be the answer for Leeds United in the January transfer window.
Leeds are looking to reinforce their squad when the market reopens, as injury could derail their chances of staying in the Premier League.
The Elland Road outfit sit 16th in the top-flight, seven points above the relegation zone, but a bad run of form could put them in danger.
Daniel Farke will be keen to bring in new faces to avoid any chance of that happening and Doekhi could be one of them.

Leeds eye Doekhi transfer as centre-back woes clear
Joe Rodon’s injury may spark Leeds into action in the market, as they need cover in case his three-week absence is extended.
A report from Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas on 30 December claimed that the Peacocks are now considering signing a new centre-back.
It states that Dutch defender Doekhi is one of the players that they have looked at, with only six months left on his contract at Union Berlin.
What has Farke said about Leeds transfers?
Farke has already opened up on what the LS11 outfit are looking for in the transfer market, with the recent tactical change affecting plans.
The switch to a three-centre back system, has led to brilliant results, and is set to reshape how they approach the market.
- Leeds are unbeaten in their last five matches after changing the system
- They have secured wins over Chelsea and Crystal Palace, with draws with Liverpool, Brentford and Sunderland
- That has given them a huge buffer on the drop zone, and they now have a big opportunity to stay in the division
Speaking ahead of the clash with Liverpool on 1 January, the German manager said: “I wouldn’t say it has changed hugely because it was always the plan that we would, as the season got longer, be a bit more flexible in our base formation.
“In the beginning we wanted to lean, with many new signings, on what we’ve played in the last season. Then the longer we are together with this team, to be capable to play, for example, in three [at the back] main formation.
“But we are right now at this stage that we are capable to do this. And for that, it affects, of course, slightly the plans for January.”
Bringing in Doekhi would give the Peacocks more depth, as Farke has been reluctant to use Sebaastian Bornauw, who joined in the summer.
The addition of an extra centre-back would ease any potential injury concerns, such as the one that Rodon currently presents, and Doekhi is experienced at the top-level.
The 27-year-old has over 100 appearances in the Eredivisie and has nearly reached that milestone for the Berlin-based side, with 98 so far.
It could prove to be a crucial addition as the race for survival enters the home stretch, and the Peacocks are in pole position.
