Dan James joined Leeds late on Monday evening - report
Manchester United winger Dan James joined Leeds United late on Monday evening, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported this morning [pg. 71] that the deal was concluded for a fee of £25million plus £5million in add-ons.
Having previously explored a loan deal, the Welshman has put pen-to-paper on a permanent switch to Elland Road.
After looking like the window was going to shut behind us with no additions, things have moved very quickly.
Leeds look to have sprung into action when James became available and taken advantage quickly with a mega-deal - which will eventually break their transfer record yet again.
With Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Old Trafford, James moving on is being described as him "making way."
Done deal.
There were videos of Victor Orta basically celebrating at Elland Road last night, and now we know why.
It looks as though the deal has been fully concluded as he was giving the thumbs up to fans watching on outside of the huge east stand complex.
There should be no repeat of 2019 where James completed his media duties, signed on the dotted line, only for it to be cancelled at the very last moment.
Marcelo Bielsa is a huge fan, and it looks as though he has finally got his man, and Andrea Radrizzani is to thank for that.
Many may be left scratching their heads as to why the Whites didn't splash this sort of cash previously, but Bielsa can't have been happy with what was in front of him - he will almost certainly be now.
The announcement is coming.
