C'Ship club in hunt for Leeds ace struggling for consistent minutes - report

There is no hiding the fact that Eddie Nketiah has struggled for minutes at Leeds United since arriving from Arsenal on loan.

The England youth international is currently behind Patrick Bamford in the pecking order at the Whites and hasn’t started a game in the Championship.

Leeds beat Championship rivals Bristol City to Nketiah’s signature in the summer, and he has impressed when given the opportunity.

City remain interested in the forward according to the Sun and could launch a move for him in January. Arsenal do have a recall clause and we need to be careful not to frustrate the Gunners.

The 20-year-old has scored four goals in all competitions and has come off the bench in seven league games already.

Nketiah has been the bright spark we have desperately craved at times. Should he be recalled we would be left with Tyler Roberts as our only senior option in the final third.

Bamford is a completely different type of forward to Nketiah and has the ability to hold up the ball much more effectively. The youngster has significantly more pace, and Marcelo Bielsa should be using that much more.

We simply cannot afford to lose Nketiah this season, with the Gunners’ man still having a massive part to play. His chance will definitely come, and it could be sooner rather than later should Bamford continue to struggle in front of goal.
