'100%' - Many Leeds fans want player who 'looks completely finished' to be axed from Bielsa XI
It is no shock to see a lot of Leeds United fans wanting to see Patrick Bamford dropped by Marcelo Bielsa for the clash against Huddersfield this weekend.
Tyler Roberts came off the bench to replace Bamford in the second half against Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday and the rarely-seen Welsh forward managed to bag himself two goals.
Even though Roberts was on the pitch for just 23 minutes, he’s already managed to equal Bamford’s goalscoring record for the whole of 2020 so far.
Bamford’s lack of goals has been a worry for quite some time now with the former Middlesbrough striker squandering plenty of chances in front of goal.
He’s scored 12 goals in 35 Championship appearances this term but only two of them – which came in the same match versus Millwall on January 28 – have come in his last 12 outings.
Jean-Kevin Augustin’s arrival in January led to increased calls for Bamford to be dropped but the RB Leipzig loanee’s recent hamstring injury quietened those fans for a brief period.

However Roberts’ goalscoring cameo off the bench at Hull has reignited demands for Bamford to suffer the axe from Bielsa – starting with the clash against Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Here is a selection of tweets by fans wanting to see the 26-year-old dropped:

I don’t think I can take another season here. Bamford needs to be dropped, he’s not scoring and Roberts scored 2 against Hull 🥴🥴

Roberts starting, JKA from the bench. Hopefully Roberts will stay fit long enough for Augustin to get up to speed.
Bamford’s gone for me, looks completely finished.
