‘You have ultimately failed’, ‘Good riddance’ – Many Leeds fans slam EFL tweets after promotion

Leeds United fans have slammed the EFL after they posted tweets to congratulate the Whites on winning promotion to the Premier League.

A lot of supporters have always felt as though the EFL have tried their best to keep Leeds in the Championship so they do not lose the money that they generate for them.

Leeds are (about to be ‘were’) the biggest club in England outside of the Premier League so you can see why it would be bad for the EFL now that the Whites’ promotion has been confirmed.

It’s definitely something that fans can debate about but there have definitely been some injustices against Leeds over the years, especially last season when they were hit with a £200,000 fine for Marcelo Bielsa’s tactic of spying on other teams.

It is not as though any of that matters now because even if the EFL were trying to keep Leeds down, they have failed.

That is what one Leeds fan have said while plenty of others have been hitting out at the organisation as they more than likely mass unfollow their Twitter account.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Leeds are a Premier League club.

How good does that sound?

No matter what you think about the EFL, it is nice to finally see the back of them and the back of the Championship.

The Premier League certainly has it’s flaws that fans will no doubt come accustomed to in the next 12 months but it’s unlikely we’ll see the conspiracy theories we’ve seen in the last 16 years.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay would be stunned if this 26-year-old plays for the Whites again this season.
