Leeds United fans have reacted with dismay and fury after the club sent a reminder about renewing season tickets.

The current season has been suspended and no one knows when or indeed if it will resume. That means next season could also be impacted heavily.

That didn't stop Leeds sending out a message saying, "Time is running out to renew for the next chapter! Secure your seat before Friday 27th March to be part of the 2020/21 season #OnOnOn"

We can understand why fans are unhappy – it doesn't seem like the ideal time to be asking for financial commitments from fans.

Leeds will be suffering just like everyone else at the moment and there are serious financial implications to the season being suspended.

But, while life has to go on, this seems particularly insensitive from the club – the best we can say is that it might have been a tweet and communication that was scheduled a while ago.

However, we doubt it and we think it's important that Leeds now get a solid grip on all communications going out and put fans first.

Fans will be worried about jobs, about getting paid, about paying mortgages and rent in the coming months. They don't need to worry about renewing season tickets by the end of March to secure their seat for a season that might not even happen.

That's why these Leeds fans are so angry...
