'Superb', 'Fantastic' - Many Leeds fans awestruck by one player in defeat v Palace

Leeds United fell to another 4-1 defeat in the Premier League on Saturday against Crystal Palace.

It was a disappointing afternoon from start to the finish, with numerous decisions going against the Whites at Selhurst Park.

Patrick Bamford scored the only goal for Leeds with a wonderful volley, but it wasn’t that which caught the headlines from the game.

It was the goal which Bamford scored which was disallowed that did.

In what may be one of the worst decisions we’ve ever seen, the 27-year-old scooped the ball home but VAR adjudged him to be offside.

Looking at the replays, the only part of Bamford that was offside was his arm – something that he can’t even score with – apparently you can now score with your sleeve.

Bamford came out after the game, claiming that even the referee couldn’t explain the decision and that VAR is ruining the game, something we agree with.

Despite this, Bamford never stopped running for the entire 90 minutes and once again left everything on the pitch.

His service was very limited, and the absence of both Rodrigo and Pablo Hernandez severely blunted Leeds in the final third at times.

Many Leeds fans have reacted to the performance of Bamford, and they were deligthed with what they saw once again.

The majority claimed that the 27-year-old was one of the only ones who could leave the pitch with his head held high on Saturday.
