Some Leeds fans react to ‘worrying’ update on 28-yr-old: ‘Terrible waste of millions’
Adam Forshaw’s recovery from a long-standing hip injury has been something that has cropped up each week in Leeds United pre-match press conferences.
The 28-year-old has not featured for the Whites since September 28 due to a constant issue with his hip.
Despite the length of his time on the sidelines, Leeds are yet to offer any real clarity about when the former Middlesbrough midfielder will be able to return to action.
Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has been asked about Forshaw a lot but he still cannot provide any kind of clear update on the crocked midfielder.
“He has a problem in his hip and he cannot recover 100 per cent,” said Bielsa on Saturday, as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Urquhart via his personal Twitter account.
A section of Leeds United fans on Twitter are less than pleased with the situation regarding Forshaw.
Leeds already have a small squad but have been desperately short of central midfield options in recent weeks with Pablo Hernandez, Tyler Roberts and Jamie Shackleton also picking up injuries.
Stuart Dallas has had to start in the centre of the midfield in the last few weeks and you get the feeling that the Whites would have conceded fewer goals than they have done if they had someone more suited to the role – like Forshaw – available to play.
There’s a lot of understandable frustration among supporters but it’s not as if Forshaw is sidelined on purpose and proper care needs to be taken so that he can return to full fitness.

In other Leeds United news, Bielsa has confirmed two players will debut against Arsenal on Monday.
