‘Should take legal action’, ‘Joke’ – These Leeds fans fume at Phil Hay player update
Ouasim Bouy has been keeping himself busy with none other than Paul Pogba if his recent Instagram posts are reflective of his wider life.
The 26-year-old midfielder is finished at Leeds, that much is clear, despite him having 18 months left on his deal.
Leeds got him on a free transfer from Juventus in the summer of 2017 but it was always a punt by the club on a player who once had some talent.
He’s never played for Leeds, hardly figured for the Under-23s, and has been shipped out on two loan deals with such little success that Leeds couldn’t find another one for him this season.
He was ordered to train away from Leeds by Marcelo Bielsa and he’s now keeping himself fit in Amsterdam where he seems to have hooked up with Paul Pogba.
Athletic journalist Phil Hay posted one of Bouy’s Instagram posts on his Twitter page and linked to a piece that explained exactly what was going on with the player.
Suffice to say that for Leeds fans he’s public enemy number one at the moment.
He’s still picking up a healthy wage from Leeds while seemingly doing nothing to help the club or even attempt to get his career back on track.
If Leeds can’t find a way to sever his contract then he’ll remain on the books for another year and a half, and the fact he’s taking money for nothing is really boiling the blood of a lot of supporters.
Here are some of the reactions to Hay’s post on Bouy…
It doesn’t seem like there’s any way out of this for Leeds.
One fan said they should take legal action, but there’s no avenue they can go down here.
They offered Bouy a long contract and he’s entitled to see it out. Leeds could make him train with the squad at Thorp Arch but don’t want him there.
Unfortunately, him gallivanting with Pogba could be the best thing for Leeds for the next 18 months.
