MOT Super Fans: Is the Leeds squad good enough to go up if White and Nketiah stay?

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road and Thorp Arch.

–––––––––––––––––

First the good news. According to Graham Smyth in the Yorkshire Evening Post, there’s ‘no chance’ of Ben White being recalled from his loan in January.

Brighton are delighted with his progress and manager Graham Potter says it’s been the perfect move for player and club.

The future of Eddie Nketiah is more uncertain. He hasn’t started in the Championship, although he was set to make the starting XI against QPR before picking up an injury in training the day before.

There’s no set date for his return but December has been mentioned. However, it’s also been said that Arsenal aren’t satisfied with the amount of game time he’s had, although they’ve stopped short of talking about recalling him and placing him somewhere else.

Bristol City are interested and Nketiah would surely walk into any first team in the Championship, except possibly Fulham. A recall has to be a possibility.

However, if Nketiah and White both stay, do Leeds have enough to get promoted? That’s the question we asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans on Friday.

If not, where does Marcelo Bielsa need to strengthen?
