Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford returned to form in the perfect possible manner on Sunday afternoon against Leicester City.

The Whites striker had failed to score in four Premier League games before the 3-1 win, but smashed home an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

Not only did he score, but he also delivered two assists as the Whites made it the perfect week backing up the win at Newcastle.

With Gareth Southgate present, Bamford couldn’t have made a better impression on the England manager ahead of the March international squad.

The 27-year-old continues to prove that he can deliver in the Premier League, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

Marcelo Bielsa dragged Bamford off against Newcastle after only an hour, and that will have been his lowest point of the season, but his faith will have been restored this weekend.

According to WhoScored, this was Bamford’s second-best display of the season behind that famous night at Aston Villa, with his all-round contribution improving ten-fold.

His 15 goal involvements in 20 games are only bettered by Tony Yeboah in the Premier League era, proving just how well he has been performing.

Many Leeds United fans have reacted to the performance of Bamford on Sunday, with most of them delighted with what they saw.

The majority were awestruck of the striker, with one even jokingly suggesting that he channelled his inner-Lionel Messi.
